HOW TO CREATE A TEAM

Only after the Team Captain has registered and created a team online can the other team members complete their registrations.  NOTE:  If team members have not completed their registration online prior to online registration closing, they will be required to complete the registration form at Packet pick-up.  Each member is required to complete their own registration form!

              1. Team members designate a Team Captain. The Team Captain is the creator of the team. Note:

The Team Captain is the ONLY person on the initial registration. Do NOT attempt to register

the entire team on the Team Captain’s registration.
              2. After filling out your registration information select the Team Relay event and click “Create a

                  Team.”

              3. Enter a team name (feel free to be creative). Select your team type (Coed, Male, or Female)

and check whether the Team Captain will be notified of each team member’s completed

                  registration.
              4. Continue with the registration and pay for your team. When completed the confirmation screen

                  will display.
              5. The Team Captain will receive a comp code via email to distribute to the rest of the team so

they can register at no cost.

HOW TO JOIN A RELAY TEAM

Once a team has been created by the Team Captain the other team members may join the team using the comp code to register at no cost.

the registration. When completed the Confirmation screen will display.

TRANSPORTATION

The team relay exchange points and distances have changed!  Due to the location of the exchange points, the use of the buses is not critical.  It is convenient and easy for relay teams to use their own transportation to meet at each exchange point as they can be accessed from the outside of the course and they are located near or around parking lots.

However, buses will be provided again in 2013.  There is no need to arrange for, schedule or reserve transportation on the buses. The marathon organizers provide transportation to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th exchange points. Buses will leave at 6:30 AM on race day. There will be no late departure buses.  NOTE:  Transportation is not provided from one exchange point to the next.  Buses will be parked on Main Street west of the Westin Crown Center Hotel.  They will be marked for each of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th exchange points.  All buses will leave the start area at 6:30 AM.

Leg 1:  The first exchange point will take place near Mile 6.

Leg 2:  The second exchange point will take place at 61st Street and Ward Parkway.

Leg 3:  The third exchange point will be at 63rd Street and Brookside Blvd.

Leg 4:  The fourth exchange point will take place at 39th Street and Harrison Pkwy.

Buses will stay at exchange points and will begin returning when full. Buses will make multiple trips if needed.

The relay shuttles are optional.  NOTE:  Transportation is not provided from one exchange point to the next.  Buses will be parked on Main Street west of the Westin Crown Center Hotel to start the race.  They will be marked for each of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th exchange points.  All buses will leave the start area at 6:30 AM.

FINISH LINE PROCEDURES

Relay members who are not running the final leg and crossing the finish line will be instructed to enter the food line from the EXIT. In other words, go around the finish line to the end of the chute. There a volunteer will let you in from the back side. Show your team relay bib number and you will be given food by the volunteer. DO NOT cross the finish line and enter the chute from the course side. Thanks for your cooperation!
