The 2014 Waddell & Reed Kansas City Marathon with Ivy Funds is coming to your neighborhood! The 26.2 mile race will take place the morning of Saturday, October 18, (the 3rd Saturday of every October) between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Over 12,000 participants from all over the world are expected to travel to Kansas City and participate in this amazing community tradition. The course will wind through the twelve districts of Kansas City including your neighborhood.
The 26.2 mile course travels through many sections of the city. If your neighborhood is included along the route, we encourage you to take part in the festivities by recruiting volunteers and cheering on our dedicated runners. To learn more about how neighborhoods, church groups, businesses, or any other organizations can be a part of the action, please email us at email@example.com.
This event may create an inconvenience to your normal Saturday morning schedule and your support and patience is appreciated. The Kansas City Police Department has been contracted to provide appropriate traffic control during the race and allow for safe travel for you and all the participants, volunteers, and spectators along the course.
